SEND Offer
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) at Carr Infant School
Carr Infant School is committed to ensuring that every child enjoys learning and reaches their full potential in a supportive, respectful, and inclusive environment. We have high aspirations for all pupils and believe that every child should have access to a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum that meets their individual learning and emotional needs.
We recognise that achieving this requires an inclusive approach, involving collaboration between school staff, parents/carers, local authority support services, external agencies, and the wider community.
Our SEND Provision
We work within the City of York Council’s guidance on provision for children with SEND in mainstream schools, ensuring that children with different additional needs receive the support they require.
All staff use City of York’s 'Ordinarily Available Provision' guidance to ensure inclusive provision for all pupils at Carr Infant School. A parent and carers guide is available to help families understand the support offered at our school.
