The School Day at Carr Infant School

From September 2024, the school register time is 8:55am, and children should be in school and ready to learn by this time.

• School opens for pupils: 8:40am – 3:10pm
• Compulsory school hours: 32.5 hours per week
• Official school start time: 8:55am (when registers are taken)

Early Years (Nursery & Reception)

• Parents and carers can bring their child to the Early Years classroom between 8:45am and 8:55am.
• Collection at the end of the day is from the Early Years door at 3:05pm.

Key Stage 1 (Years 1 & 2)

• Children enter school through the KS1 doors from 8:40am.
• Lessons start promptly at 8:45am.
• The back gate is locked at 9:00am for safeguarding reasons. Any child arriving after this time must enter via the school office.
• Year 1 Parents and carers collect their child from the KS1 door at 3:10pm.
• Year 1 Parents and carers collect their child from the Hall door at 3:10pm.

Wraparound Care

Our Wrap Around Care provides before and after-school childcare on site. This includes:

• Breakfast Club from 7:30am
• After-School Club until 6:00pm
